11 years ago today I married my soul mate, kissed a few toads but found my Prince. Like 2 peas in a pod we are made for each other. Going to make the most of today and pray that the medical people are wrong and this will not e our last, but they way things have gone the last few months I fear that they are right Cherish each day you spend with loved ones you never know when all your happiness will e taken away.

Crly, my Dearly Beloved almost died on me 4 times. The medical people were amazed that he survived so much blood loss. I'm praying for both of you to have many more years together.

I was told almost 3years ago that he would not survive so I am grateful for the extra time we have had, but ~I fear he is now starting to loose his battle. Have special surprise party for him tomorrow as it is also his birthday on Sunday we will have 4 generations here and he does not know any of them are coming to see him his brother is bringing his 88yr old dad from Cornwall 350miles away better make sure I keep his heart meds to hand. Love to you all

You are in my prayers - my dad never really took care of his health and he avoided death at least 2 times despite that with my intervention.

Dear crlyblonde, yes each moment is precious and I can see you appreciate that. I too married my soul mate and it will be three years in September. If you love the Lord, and I can see you do, you will never be separated from him. Hold him close and love him. Hugs.

Stay strong, do not give up, have faith. God is on your side as are we. I did not think my husband would be with me for 38 years but he is. He us also my soul mate, best friend, and my lifer saver. We have been through so much from losing a son who was 21 to losing the right to see his little girl. We are a most loving couple and we stay close no matter how sick he gets with his diabetes and COPD. I pray you two will see each other through no matter how bad things may seem. I pray for your strength, love for each other, and guidance through our Lord, Jesus Christ. God bless you both. Amen.

Anybody who has ever had a "Why me? " thought only has to read the postings here to know there are an awful lot of "me's" in the same boat. That being the case let's all grab a paddle and head someplace nicer like a sunny puzzle to help us be free from our troubles for a while.

We are headed somewhere nicer, in fact it will be the perfect place for all of us. Wonder if there will be any jigsaw puzzles there and even though we will all have new bodies, I do hope there is some way we can recognize each other. God bless you pixi and all on here. Hugs.

Aussie, about the recognizing one another - I asked a chaplain about that. After all, the way I remember my father and the way my mother remembers him could easily be two different visages. The chaplain said we'll all remember everyone as they were most familiar to us in life. I thought that was a pretty good answer.

Crlyblonde, I am happy you have your garden to help you. I do that, too. My yard has many things I planted and many the birds planted. Theirs grow better than mine but for the most part I enjoy all and the garden brings peace.
Aussie, how is hubby doing? God bless you and he and crly and her hubby and all on here. These are all the sweetest people. God must like jigsaw puzzlers.

Dear crlyblonde - This is for you -

TREASURE EVERY MOMENT
Treasure every moment,
For we never know
What tomorrow will bring
Or how many we will have.

Tell those dear to us we love them
For we never know
If it will be the last time
We get the opportunity.

Don’t waste time in sadness
Bitterness or despair
God knows how many days
We will have them in our care.

Touch is so important,
Hold their hands,
Wrap your arms around them
Tenderly, lovingly
Show them in many small ways
How precious they are to you.

God has each of us
In the palm of His hand
He knows the burdens we carry
And His love knows no bounds.

One day we will all be whole
And basking in His presence
But until then dear one
Treasure every moment.

(dedicated to a lovely C4J puzzler)
(Hazel C (c) - poem No 654 - 27 June 2015)

Hugs

Very true Crly - I myself had some issues with the medical field. Years ago my husband ended up in the ICU and spent 6 weeks there. When he was brought in he was really overweight due to fluid. One nurse told me he was dying. I cried non-stop all week. He recovered and ended up having surgery. He has a double whammy medical issue.

Hope your husband is still well carol. Unfortunatley on this occasion the medical profession was right and it was our last aniversary together but we had 3 extra years that wasn't expected so I cherish that time

We were married 11 years ago as well. He almost died on me as well. He built up with fluid about 100 pounds. Then these nurses informed me that he was dying. He survived. Last year he had 4 surgeries in one week. My myself had surgery last summer.

I know all too well why some daughters/son has an excuse to see their parent. For me it was many times just too painful! My sister lived here as well and always had an excuse not to see them. I always made an effort but often left sad or crying!
