I often see them in our neighborhood late at night and of course in the wild. Beautiful and smart and their fur should stay on them, not us!

Aknan, I'll agree with you. All animals should keep their fur.

Our foxes, although they plunder hen coops, are afraid of people. One would never deliberately attack, unless cornered, and even then would probably just zip past you so fast you couldn't catch it if you wanted to. But they do have a lethal set of teeth!

Aknan and goof, I'm with you - fur should only be worn by those who grow it!
I saw one once running with a large chicken held by the neck and tossed over his shoulder. I had seen that in nursery rhyme books and thought it was fantasy, but it is truly some instinct to carry something on their shoulder. They are really very slight animals.
I never knew they carried prey like that. However, it makes sense because they are too close to the ground to drag the animal or bird. That would slow them down, possibly making them prey or making them lose their catch to a smarter, or more powerful animal. This is just an example of our Creator designing all living things for their own particular needs.

That is for sure! They aren't a very heavy animal, most of what you see is fur. So what they lack in brawn, the Good Lord gave them in creativity and cunning.
