My sister has been canning chili for 2 days now. She is using some of the venison her husband ground up into burger meat. And of course, she made some especially for me without the green peppers. I love her chili. We should have a chili cook-off.

So do I....I came in 2nd in a "Chili cook-off" in one of the schools I taught at in Honduras. That would be so much fun!!

I came in 2nd in a chili cook off too nborchardt. It was at my hubby's work and apparently the only reason mine came in second is because the guy who came in first made 4-alarm chili (I put a bit of Tony Chachere's in mine but just for a bit of spice, not an atomic blast! lol) The other cook only won by 1 vote.

Lol. There are some who will put hot sauce, red chili pepper flakes, etc. on just about anything!

My chili is very mild. I don't like peppery things.
It's been rainy and chilly here so we made a fire in the fireplace, had a restful day, had French toast and bacon for dinner and baked gingerbread cookies tonight.
Love the little clothes. It makes me nostalgic for when my daughters were babies.....but glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. Blessings to all and may you have a lovely day.
I am with you nborchardt. Don'tmiss any of the diaper changing, bottle feeding in the middle of the night, or temper tantrums. With 3 kids and then with my granddaughters, I don't think I can handle that anymore Blessings to as well.
