Me too, will have smoked brisket, & potato salad or coleslaw with it. Temp is rising 25 now, 68 by Sun, then back down again. Got compactor bag out & bin to street, humidifiers filled, cat's water dishes filled, kitchen cleaned up, beds made, e-mails gone thru...think I can puzzle the rest of the day. Will see if I can get the other half to pick up some brisket & potato salad from our favorite place close by as it gets warmer, that will take care of supper. Noticed the post below, I like coleslaw better too but too lazy to do it. GOOD MORNING to all!

Good afternoon. We are to have 20 today. Sun is shining very brightly. Not melting much of our snow. Very windy and they saying another 2 to 4 inches tonight and tomorrow. 30 Sunday. Wow, you've been a busy lady. I'm working on my cleaning, but stopped to work a few puzzles. Have a good day.

We are 43 at the moment here in n.e. Florida. Been in the low to mid 30s at night, 40ish to 60s in the daytime for a little while now. I'm very hot natured so enjoy winter.

Just got back from library, got 4 books (found out I had already read one of the in Jan of 11) but 3 may last me til I get my order. It was so nice 66 now & just a light breeze, that I went after real books instead of loading some on my notepad.
Change is on the way temps should start going down here again by late afternoon tomorrow. Back to layers by Mon am.

Hi Hockeyfan and CatLadyOKC! It was great here in Central FL, 69 degrees today at 4pm! Was in short sleeves and basking in the sun on the back patio. My Maine Coon gingerly stuck her nose out, and had that look of "ah it's ok to go out". :) We spend a good hour taking in the sun. The Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw and Smoked Brisket sounds really good. Drool. Have any leftovers. :) Haven't had baked beans in a long time. Cole Slaw I make quite often. As long as my husband is willing to grate the cabbage, then I make the mix. It's so good fresh. Have a great evening/day. :)

Must be a Maine Coon trait ours lets you hold the storm door open while he decides if he is going out, fine on a nice day but if cold not so great.

Could be they might be spoiled...I know ours is!
We have a fake electic fireplace, just nightlite for looks behind fake logs (does look like a fire but puts out no heat) Our cats over the years have always come in and wanted it turned on on cold days, we have really laughed at that. They will lay down and sleep in front of it...

He Aussie, I live in North America and it has been in the 70s F and sunny during the day and down as low as 29 F at night. I really am blessed and worry and pray for those on our frigid east coast. I have a couple of truck driving friends who drive on the east coast. I really do worry about road conditions for them. I also get concerned for those of you in high heat. Dehydration and heat stroke can kill as easily as the snow and cold. May God keep you all safe!

Nlbuchanan, I wish I lived wherever you are right now. I'm in the Midwest, kind of close to the east coast. I'm in Southwestern Ohio.
My Mom had a set too. I don't ever remember her using it though, it was one of those things we 'saved for good'. Don't know what happened to it either.
