When my aunt baked pies, she always made a special one for my brother - a hypocrite pie. It was a shell filled with only meringue and baked, and he loved it. Called hypocrite because it was full of hot air!
I could go for a piece of apple pie as well. I made a typo myself. Didn't realize it til later. It was too late to change it. Embarrassing but quite funny.
I used to work for an ad agency typing copy for their ads. One grocery store frequently ran specials on a certain brand of pot pies. I had a dickens of a time with the copy as I managed to type "pot pis" almost every time. Hopefully I caught all of the errors back then.

That's funny trynfindit - one you'd be glad to find on special, the other they couldn't pay you to take.
We are Mincemeat fans at my house. Pies, cookies, breads, yum! Although we wouldn't really turn down a great Apple or Cherry pie.
Happy Fall to you all.
Hi there kandivalle, I am curious how you make Mincemeat cookies and breads. Here in Australia 'mincemeat' is what we call minced steak or I think it is what you call ground beef. Is that what you make cookies from or is Mincemeat a name for something else? :-)
