This was a wretched puzzle that took way tooooooooo loooooong to do it. Yes, I am throwing a mini hissy fit because I don't feel well and I'm against everything right now! OK, over that! This puzzle was really hard for me! I don't know if its age, the fact that I have, what I guess is a cold, after going 3 years without one cold or any sickness. That was my reward when I retired from education. I love the kids, but man, can they infect you with some nasty germs!! Have a wonderful day and may it be filled with enough blessings to share with others.
So sorry to hear you have a cold nborchardt, they can really make you feel miserable. Not much you can do either but to let it run its course. Hugs.

We take Theraflu for our colds. Seems to do ok. I had a doctor that said, "You can either take something for your cold and have it last 7 days or not take anything and have it last for a week."

That's great trynfindit! I'm going to a walk-in clinic this morning because this is more than a cold and my sides hurt sooooo much just to breathe with all the coughing. I fear bronchitis since this is what if feels like. Darn!!! And I quit smoking 10 years ago.

Hope you get some help, nborchardt. Bronchitis is just no fun. Try to keep your chest and back warm so the muscles won't clench up so hard.

Well, the doctor said it is "just a cold".....I don't remember having a cold this bad, but I'm getting old and you know how the memory vanishes! He did recommend some over-the-counter remedies and I did sleep last night, and the coughing isn't as bad as it was. I am grateful!!

Hi nborchardt. I am getting a little better in some ways but not so much in others. I dread the nighttime. I feel so alone and the darkness feels like it is closing in on me.

Mamag, when my father died, my mother kept the lamps on all over the house. She said it made her not feel so alone. The other thing she did was put Daddy's pillow beside her when she slept; she said it made the bed less lonely. My prayers for your continued healing.

I try sleeping with his pillow. I had such a hard night last night I was up until 3 this morning. I have a night light and I keep a fan on to deaden any noises. I really need to see a doctor. I think I should be able to get through more than I am. this is not nearly as bad as when I lost my son. I don't think it was anyways.

Mamag, it may be easier because we anticipate the death of a spouse (especially after a long, hard battle with illness) but we don't ever anticipate we'll outlive our children. Your doctor might recommend a low-dose antidepressant to help you through this transition period. And don't forget - you're always in the prayers of us at C4J. Hugs.
