It's going to rain here for 3 days. Very unusual for this part valley. They are in the orchards now thinning the cherry trees and the mosquitoes have been fierce. I'm thinking about going and picking this year with my neighbor to add a little money to my budget for the winter. I'll also have cherrys to bring home and eat or just freeze. Yum!

Fill a spray bottle with water and a few drops of lavender oil. Spray it on before you go out to the mossie millions - they don't like the taste of lavender. Cheers.

Wow! I did not know that and I'm a big lavender oil person too. I use it on my clients when I do Reiki treatments because it is all pupose and supposedly no allergic reactions occur. It is very healing. Now for mosquitos, this is so great!

Saw on the news there is a tropical off of florida. I hope it is not too bad coming up the coast. Most of my family is in Upstate New York and my daughter and niece are in NYC and Brooklyn.

Hi Toadalove I have a polish friend whom goes blackberry picking and she says she takes a bottle of vinegar and soaks a large hanky in the vinegar and puts the hanky over her head and the midges do not bother her, I tried it but did not work for me, I use a hat with a net over and find this works for me get some funny looks but rather that than the midges.Good luck, hope you get plenty of cherries, don't forget your friends at crazy for jigsaws if you have to many.
Thank you team for this one enjoyed it and I certainatly think the sun has shined on me today after trying for 5 times to go to a hospital I have finally succeeded will be going next week on the 15th of this month, had a pre hop today and passed with flying colours, I would have never would have guessed to find it this hard to get in to have a op, but has the saying goes it always comes to them that wait.
