Laid out on denim fabric in this online puzzle are craft supplies and colorful, eclectic beads. The possibilities are endless for what kind of creative crafts can be made with such interesting materials.
Someone out there must know what some of these sewing items are. Me, don't have a clue, except for the spool of thread and the buttons. Hard puzzle in 300 cut.
I think the front stick is a crayon with the paper peeled off. The one in back looks like a foam spacer (usually with a hole thru the center). They're good for holding little things while you work on them.

Orinoco, sometimes the only way to solve a workplace situation is to gracefully quit. I've worked through too many skirmishes and am glad I'm self-employed now. I hope you can turn your situation around if you like the job. If not, save your sanity and walk away. Prayers!

I am self-employed myself, Aknan. I tutor ESL from home, but not a single new student yet this term.

Oh, I do understand! I work on commission from investments and the pickings are rather slim right now. I'm sure you're working through referrals from schools, employers, etc. and it's just a dry spell. Hang in - it will get better!

Scary to be self-employed. Can you pick up subbing at a school until things improve?

I had to create my own job because I'm nationalised but not native. They *say* it makes no difference but take it from me, breaking into the system is not easy. Also I'm over 50 now, so...
Been a rough week.
thanks for the prayers. Like the old song says, "I couldn't hear nobody pray" but I sure felt it! I know what I'll do, I'll start a new quilting project, and people will turn up in their droves to keep me from sewing! ;)

That's right Orinoco. Make a plan you look forward to and something will happen to change it. I can tell you it isn't easy to "break in" when you're a native born in the USA (I don't mean American Indian just a citizen born here.) There are all kinds of cliques and clans that control employment and you basically need to make friends with someone on the inside to get a job.
I tried for years to get a public school teaching job. I was at the top of my class but it didn't get me the job. One interviewer actually asked me "Do you know someone that will allow me to hire you? "
That's what all the "me too" movement comes from--in many areas you have to marry in or become a paramour to get hired. That's what the women are coming out and accusing many employers of doing. I lost a spot on the world figure skating team for not agreeing to sleep with my teacher. Pretty shabby for a country supposedly open to let anyone who works hard get ahead.

Just a word to the wise, orinoco. Don't stay there if it starts to affect you mentally, to the extreme. Warning signs are visits to the bathroom that are overlong. Arriving late to work. Staying by yourself to get things done. See how I'm using an excuse there? These type of things, if left long, can lead to depression, IBS and anxiety. I know. Sending you a great big hug.

Taffi, I work from home. The problem is that no new students have called to set up classes, and two have left because they found fulltime work. I advertise, but no takers yet this term.
Don't know what half of these sewing gadgets are for? So not creative at all. I thought this would be an easy puzzle, but took a while..at least for me.
I do beading as a hobby. I've made numerous earrings, necklaces and pins and had hoped to sell them but got burned by a shop that closed and left with the things they took to sell but didn't pay me. I don't want to market the stuff myself. The sales tax business makes it too much like a losing battle with lots of paperwork.
Hoping you all have hobbies that you enjoy.
I could do with a word of prayer, friends. My work situation is getting "awful skurse" as my mother used to say.
