Nice decorative piece. Kind of spiky looking for soft lilies but bright and cheerful. I've never tried growing bird-of-paradise. Anyone here grown them?
Wishing you an invigorsting day.
They're tropical, pixi, so for most of us, a greenhouse is required. They grow wild in San Diego (and other seaside locations, I'm sure) and it really knocked my socks off the first time I saw them!

We have a very large bird-of-paradise growing in one of our front beds. It's about 3-5 feet wide and about 4 feet tall. The most blooms it's had on it were during a period when we had a good bit of rain - 9 blooms. Gorgeous.

I had no idea they had more than one bloom. I thought, like cannas, they got one stalk of bloom for the season.
Wishing you an invigorsting day.
