Oh sherrybee, I'm so sorry to hear about your hubby having Alzheimer's. I pray that God give you both strength and love in abundance during such a trying time. My best friend's hubby also has Alzheimer's. It's such a tragic disease. Hugs.

I'm so sorry, Sherrybee. Being a care giver for a loved one who has Alzheimer's is sometimes harder than actually having the dreadful disease. We have had several people in my family that had it, and I fear I may be showing early signs, but not anything terrible yet. I took care of my father in the last phase of Alzheimer's, and it can be so frustrating. The not remembering how to do things, or people's names, is not only frustrating but embarrassing, too. Just try to keep things upbeat and laugh a lot...it helps, as long as you're laughing WITH them and not AT them! Take some time to take of YOU, too. Some places have "day care" centers for Seniors, so you can have a few hours to yourself...
God Bless
4-1/2 days into spring and I finally saw the first robin of the season. It is still cold here, only 25 but at least the sun is shining so brightly. Soon all of these colorful bird houses will be filled with lovely chirping.
I had an uncle who helped me make a birdhouse when I was fairly young - I think my contribution was painting. That birdhouse hung from a tree limb in our backyard for over a decade - I don't know if there were ever any birds nesting in the birdhouse.
He wants to do, but Alziheimers is a bad thing.
