My very thought! That blue is characteristic, as well as the shape of the tower. Could be in Eastern Europe, too. Easier for me than I feared; I usually have trouble with buildings.

Aussie, I think you're right about it being in Greece. I tried researching it, and all the ones that were even close were located in Greece.

I think it is either a Russian or Greek Orthodox church. There is one in PA. where I used to live and it looks exactly like this one. I loved driving by it. It is so beautiful and that one was Russian.

Rahrah 1820 and Parson Wayne, St. Tikhon's Orthodox Monastery (South Canaan, Pennsylvania) I will ask my daughter where it is. She still lives up there. It does not have the blue dome like I thought it did. Parson Wayne where in Pa. did you live? I lived in the Northeastern Part around Scranton.

I have heard that PA is a beautiful State, and the pictures I've seen show it to be, also. mamag, I can see where you'd think the buildings were the same, there's a remarkable resemblance. The one in PA is the one I'd chose to visit, it's gorgeous! Thanks for the info.

They were all in northeastern and southeastern PA.
Been in Ohio since 1972.
I think so too. Just when I'm sure the little cabin in the woods type of church is my favorite, I'll see a huge, ornate, awe-inspiring one that I want to explore inside & out! lol
There's a church like that about 20 minutes from us. I bet the paint job is still in progress. Note the red and yellow banding under some but not all the peaks. That will be quite colorful when it's finished.
There are some Victorian homes nerby that do that kind of decorative coloring on the mouldings and such. It's so pretty. Especially if there's any gingerbread as part of the trim. BUT I'm glad not to have to do that on our house. I had to do the garage doors this year and did a miserable job because I couldn't scrape off all the old paint. Next year I'll redo it but use a pressure sprayer and get all the way down to the wood. I painted a design of clouds and daylilies on a slope. I'm out of the colors now and haven't been able to get more. I mix my own but can't get the little cans of bright primaries now.
Wishing you a day when you can get the supplies you need.
God bless all of you. Hugs.
