Morning to all. My prayers have been added to yours Aussie, horrible, horrible fire. I have a high school friend that lives in Paradise, California praying her and her family made it out of the area. Fabric is one of my weaknesses. Been looking for some fabric to recover an old rocking chair that I recovered years ago....needs it again. Having trouble finding some, guess I will keep looking. Everyone stay safe.

I'm wondering if God is using the fires to get people out of those areas becuse the "big one" is near and going to drop pieces of CA into the sea. Anyway all us USA-ers thank you for your prayers. My brother recently moved from near San Francisco, CA. He says people are fleeing CA in droves. He is now in Arizona (TBTG).

Pixi don't think God is using these for that purpose. That fire was caused by PG&E the power company. One of their high voltage lines right in the area has been sparking and they were going to fix it, but TOO LATE!!! I am a California native and we left 21 years ago because of taxes and ALL prices were becoming out of control even then. This is the biggest reason people are leaving they can't afford to live there any longer. I would love to return there to live but it is never going happen. My family is still there but I don't know for how long. Please everyone pray not only for the lives and property lost but also for the firefighters who are risking their lives to save others. Please everyone stay safe.

Always do, darambo. As well as God to send rain to help put the fires out. But whether the cause is from human sinfulness (PG&E) or a lightning strike or something else (and I know about the bad economics from my brother who recently left after living there most of his adult life) it could still be something God is allowing to happen for some good purpose. I know that's hard to reconcile with loss of life and property but God's ways....who can fathom them?
