Good morning everyone. Mmmmm homemade bread!!! Just luv it. I want to know how they got those eggs so evenly colored, never could get mine to look that good.I think they are fake lol!!! You all be safe today and see you all tomorrow.
I used to make homemade bread that was simply delicious.I also used to make donuts that were heavenly. I could make dozens and they would be gone in no time.I would take them to my husband's parents and they just devoured them. I am no longer allowed to make donuts. My husband would wind up eating them all.

Rahrah got such a good laugh at the spray paint idea. I never thought of spray paint, but I think you are right lol ;-) Mamag always wanted to try to make donuts. Are they difficult to make? Now you have got my mouth watering for them and no place locally to buy them. Well probably my waist line doesn't need them, so just as well I can't buy them ( or make them ) lol! You both be safe.

Darambo, another good idea (haven't tried it yet) would be to use the decorative duck (yes, duck) tape that is now available. I have some with puppy paws, giraffes, and several more. I think that would be so cute, even if you just cut out the cute stuff and apply it on a colored egg.

Darambo, here is the recipe for my donuts:
Favorite Donuts
Beat well: 4 egg yolks or 2 whole eggs (Large)
Beat in 1 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons soft shortening. NOTE: The only shortening I use is Crisco
Stir in ¾ cups buttermilk or sour milk
Sift together:
3&1/2 cups sifted Gold Medal flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Chill dough 2 hours. Heat 3-4 inches oil in fryer or heavy pan to 390 degrees.
Roll out dough gently to 1/3 inch thick. Cut with floured donut cutter on cutting board. Lift donuts with a wide spatula in hot oil. Fry about 3 minutes to completely brown on both sides. Only put in enough so they are not too crowded and can be turned easily.
NOTE: I usually fry them 1&1/2 minutes on one side, flip them over, and then continue frying until completely browned.
Lift each donut with the long fork being careful not to prick donuts. Drain over fryer and then place on absorbent paper towels. Keep in a warm place.
Sprinkle powdered sugar over them or glazed. I also put them in sugar-cinnamon mixture to coat completely. You can decorate them any way you want.
Another word to perfection:
Keep an eye on the temperature of your fryer. After frying, it can get too hot or too cool after taking the donuts out before adding another batch. I also only do a ½ batch at a time and keep the other chilled.
If you have any questions, just ask me and I will be glad to help. Enjoy!!!
I been to hospital today and once again I have an infection in my leg, it is making them so painful, when the infection is clear then it will be back to hospital for skin grafts again, so dear friends I ask you for your prayers (sorry to be such a pain and a nuisance)
I wish you every blessing for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday may it a time when you are close to the Lord who died for us and rose for us on Easter Day.
Dear Barbaranne, you certainly have my prayers for your upcoming treatment and healing.
Thank you for the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday blessings and I wish you a very special Easter.

Be strong, Barbaranne, I know it's easy to say and hard to do. You have been making progress and this is a set back but we are praying and God will surely help you.
Have a wonderful Easter.
