I do too. That is a very creative idea and very pretty. I would probably go with different colors for the umbrella though but that's just me.

I agree KNadineM- the black/red/blue of the umbrella don't compliment the softer colors of the flowers.

Agree KNadine. A variety of deeper blues would be nice.

Pixipixil, that would be nice.

But I think it is a great idea. Yes, perhaps in different colors, but this is what who ever has the garden wants.

Right, Cindy. We like the umbrella, too but are just daydreming over the color scheme if we had that neat planter. The bright red doesn't go (in our minds) with the rest of the colors which are softer.
If the flowers in the area were reds, yellows, oranges the red panels wouldn't feel "wrong" to me.

Exactly Pixipixil. There isn't anything we can do about the owner's preference, we're just daydreaming about what we'd do for a color scheme. I agree too that umbrella would be a good color for red, yellow and orange flowers.

We all seem to be of one mind on a better color for the umbrella. The umbrella as a planter is a wonderful idea.
The technical name for these flowers is posies. ;-)

I think you're right, bjold. It looks like a mix of pansies and violas.

Voting with pansies.

I thought pansies usually had a darker colored center on the petals.

Some in the photo do have that darker "face" but today they have also bred faceless pure color ones. I get several seed catalogs so I see what's new each year.

You will love the power steering once you get used to it - you can turn the car with one finger - and I bet you have air conditioning, too!

I was thinking ugh! yesterday. I currently drive two women around - doc appts. groceries. I took them to the bank and mentioned my upcoming surgery to an employee. I've seen this employee many times. She says to me well yeah whose going to drive these two women around then? I said well my husband will probably do it. Then yesterday I'm in traffic going straight. A man making a turn moves forward with his car. He would have driven his car into the side of mine. I glance over and he starts having a fit. I'm thinking omg Geez! He would been able to do what he wanted to anyway.

and is very pretty
I'm not that great at flower identification so I don't have a clue as to the types of flowers these are.
