They must use this kind of rope to tie the QE2 to the dock.

I felt sorry for this puzzle, it is after all a plain brown rope, who would notice it? but think about it's many uses and it becomes something else. The people who worked to make it, the ways it will come in handy. I see the beauty in that and so thank you for adding this puzzle :-D
