So glad it has cooled down for you. It is warming up here with Spring's earliest flowers out and more crowding up every day. Saw a flock of 20 wild turkeys in front of our house. It is nesting season for them.

It's about time that you had some cooler weather to rest in, AS.

It hit 90 degrees here! I guess spring is over. I dread summer - hope I can find cool places to visit.

Coravee, thank you and the turkeys must have made interesting watching and probably comical as well. Hugs.

Hi PW, it is very pleasant. I have new neighbours and for some reason they leave a very bright fluorescent light on until 11 or 11:30pm. Unfortunately it lights up the bedroom end of my house. I can shut one door, but it has bee4n like sleeping with the light on in my bedroom, so have been covering the window with cardboard, which is a lot of fun climbing the ladder with my vertigo. Probably need your prayers as I have not quite finished yet, but should get it done in one go today. Hugs to you and Mrs PW

I will tell her. Before I go to bed, I check on my phone what the temperature is in Kotzebue, Alaska where my eldest son is. Osaka, Japan where an exchange student lives who stayed with my granddaughter, Brisbane, Australia which is the closest I can check on your weather, Paris, France where another exchange student lives, and New Concord, Ohio where I live.

I am so glad it is cooler for you! It is still raining here; but the sun is spending more time during the day than the rain is, for that I am thankful!

We just got some new neighbors who are Mennonite people. I haven't met them yet. Thought I would take some hot [temperature, not spicy] cinnamon rolls to them tomorrow if they aren't diabetic. I need to find out first because of the melted topping on them.

Aussie-you are my inspiration! I always look eagerly for your comments and wishes for hugs inspired by our puzzles. BTW, can you get Room darkening shades? That would seem easier w/less chance of falling-believe me, I have epilepsy & understand your vertigo.

Hi Baygrannie, thank you so much for your kind words. I probably will do that in the future. I just bought an almost new car (1 year old) and paid cash for it, so at the moment things are a bit tight financially. However I managed to do the final bit of closing out the light and prayed all the way through it lol. I will see tonight if it has worked. Worked somewhat last night, but the light is still getting through. It will all work out. Hugs.

Thank BayGrannie, got the last bit of the window done and they turned the light off at 8:45 before I went to bed!!! Now they have gone back to their home until the weekend, so will see how it works then. Where are you BayGrannie - I lived in North America for eight years a long time ago. Two years in Canada and six years in the USA. Hugs.

Decided I would stay here because of the beauty--then went to URI to become pharmacist--a tremendous career. Got to help so many people & made such good friends. Where did u live here?

Aussie-I used they heavy black felt as we have to lights on each of the corners of our house. I cut it a little larger (1"or 1/2") all the way around the size of the window, put 3 Velcro (sticky type) of the hook part then just pushed the felt on to the strips. I used a tension bar that I could just reach from the floor so I didn't have to climb up on the desk area of the cabinets that are built on that wall. When I can roll it up over the bar, also did the same on our east window for the early sun but have a large dresser in front of it. I did fall off a small stool that I was using before and was on crutches for a number of week with a very bad sprained ankle. I found it keeps the room darker than the room darkening shades and much cheaper! Hope this helps you. They last for years.

PS. I have curtains that hang in front of them & you can hardly see the felt behind them & my curtains also last much longer.

Excellent idea CatLLady, will give that a try if the cardboard doesn't work. Thank you. Hugs.
