This camellia looks like a 'pink perfection.' We have four different camellias in our yard; a white one that looks like this flower, a red one called a peony-flowered type, a pink one called 'Taylor's perfection' and two white ones called 'Julia France'. For the most part they are worry free. They do like water, and high shade (like under the canopy of a large tree). And, once planted, they do not like to be moved. One of the best things about them is that they bloom from December to about Feb/Mar when everything else here has gone to sleep for the season.
Makes me realise we are all very blessed - the camelia's in the garden are prolific and near Hamilton is where they grown the kind for tea - have to have a visit there soon.
