It amazes me how a dog does not like anyone to blow in his face, but he will enjoy a car ride with head out the window going at 60 mph and ears flying!
Made me think of one of my favorite FarSide comics - dog is leaning out of car, talking to another dog. "Ha Ha Biff, guess what? After we go to the drugstore and post office, I'm going to the vet's to get tutored."
My dachshund hated car rides - she'd pee twice & throw up once before the car even left the driveway. However, flying home from Europe cured her of that. I guess nothing was worse than being in the dark belly of the plane for 8 hours. She never hesitate to get into the car after that!
