Not as easy as it looks. You are so right. Last time I played checkers was with my mother who was 92 at the time. It was during one of the 3 hurricanes that came across Florida--about 2006 I think. There wasn't anything else to do and I knew she could play checkers. She lived to be 96 and I really miss her.
Yeah I hear you about missing parents. I miss my parents as well. My parents had life threatening illnesses and didn't live til their 90's. I almost thought that board was a backgammon or chess board. Have played both games.

I have an ivory backgammon set but I don't know how to play. It was my mother's set.

I know how to play backgammon. I think it's easier than playing Chess.
