We went to DC twice in the spring but missed the cerries both times. We had to wait for my husband's Easter break. Now that he's retired we can try again.

As in the crack of dawn. Why is it only Fall has two names? Autumn is much prettier. Spring should have a second name. Do you know one?

With a mattress in my flower bed, there would not have been room for the "rest" of my flowers.
Gorgeous. Maybe it's a Kwanzan. They have the best flowers.
Aussie is still MIA so I'll look for some quotes. I hope she's back soon.
I'll repost when I get the quotes.
Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. Henry Ward Beecher
The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the fragility and beauty of life. It's a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is tragically short.

I went to a local cemetery to let a chipmunk go that we had trapped. It was such a gorgeous sunny day I decided to sit with the car door open and pray. As I was praying I noticed one of the graves newly dug had a rainbow pinwheel spinning over it and I knew someone had lost a child. Can we all send up a short prayer for all of us who have lost a child? Thanks.
As a mother who also lost a child, he was at the age of 21, I can feel their pain. It does not matter how old a child is when they pass away, they are still our children. Prayers for that family and everyone else who has a lost a child.
