Gorgeous! I learned to drive on a '49 Caddy. Now I have a car that's the color of this one, and still almost got hit in the parking lot today! Do people not see bright red? lol
I learned to drive in a 1950 Lincoln, getting it around corners was my problem, as I remember it was like driving a tank. No power steering.

Oh yeah, I remember how long those Lincolns were, but oh, so pretty! We had a lemon colored one once. My dad was an auto mechanic (before computers took over) and he was always getting junkers and fixing them up. I never had to worry about my car as long as he lived. Now, it's a major concern anytime I need to take it to someone to look at.

My first car was a Buick Skylark. That thing was huge compared to a lot of today's cars. My dad liked it because he thought I'd be safer in it. You say you don't travel, have you ever been able to? I love it, but I've not done a lot of it in my lifetime.

We didn't do much, just a couple weeks each year to NM-where brother's family, & to Ark. when my parents, most of family in Ks. where were, also camped out at lakes near. Then when we moved to OKC. still the kid were in swimming to we went to meets almost every week end. but when hubby broke his neck we in '89 it was to hard on him. But also my parents lived here for a number years. Now most of our family here, daughter & son, his brother lives in KS & they have now retired & they come thru every so often. My brother has just retired & they have moved to Dallas area (that's where is kids live). That's about the close family we have now.

My family lives within 200 miles of each other now, and my generation are all retired. I have a daughter here in Tucson who is married with two teens. It's nice to be close to them. I lived in Joplin for about 1 1/2 years, and El Paso about the same amount of time, but otherwise in Arizona. I love this State, but I would like to see more of the USA. So many beautiful and interesting things to see.

Guess I've traveled more than I thought, at one time I counted the states and had been in 1/2 of the states. Most of that was when I was still young & living with my parents. Don't remember some of the trips, did get to go to Yellowstone in Wy. I was a freshman in HS. I also have been to New Orleans I was in my early 20's was not impressed with it.
I had one new car, a '67 Camero. I learned to drive in a 51 Lincoln, was like driving a tank.
We have a '90 Buick & a 2002 Buick now...

Our granddaughter drives a 93 Camero, which is
constantly in the shop. She get it used a couple
of years ago when she was a senior in high school so she would have a car to drive in college. She drives the '90 Buick when her grandfather is working on her car.
