I concur. My daughter is an artist of different types of media. I enjoy watching her projects develop and the end result. I'm not talented in that way, appreciate what others can do.

I'm glad his family is reaching out to you. When my dad died, it was like my mother fell off the earth - not that we were all that close, but still, it hurt her. She turned her hurt into crafts, especially embroidery. I still use some of her tea towels all these years later. Hugs to you, pixi.

Joycerogers - yes Pixi's husband died suddenly. He had gone out to mow and didn't come in for lunch and when Pixi checked to see where he was, he had passed away. All very tragic and we are virtually holding Pixi for comfort. Hugs.

Aussie, thank you so much for letting me know. My grandfather passed away in much the same way. Every time I'm near San Antonio I stop by the house and take a stroll through his garden to the spot where he was found, I feel so close to him there. He loved that garden...a very appropriate place for him to meet his Maker. Pixi, I hope you can feel some comfort in feeling so close to him. You're in my prayers. Hugs.

I am so lucky to have people around me --well virtually around me--that are so caring. Thank you for all your kind thoughts, words and prayers and hugs. For some reason today was particuarly hard. Karen and Joyce, it's so good to hear from you. Aknan and Aussie, I can always count on you for a hug when I need it most. Thank you.
One of Rhett's sisters called today which helped a lot. Much of the pain is from why God took him with no warning. She and I both feel the way it happened that God "has some explaining to do! "
Of course we both know God does everything for the best but our human side isn't happy at all with how it went.
I feel like Alice in Wonderland where she's in the woods and the bird with a broom head has erased the path. I don't expect to have a vision of God sitting on a toadstool smoking a hookah but I hope He gives me a hint about what I need to do next...after I heal from all this.
It's good to have a place that is still the same...this is sort of like Cheers.

Now, that's a mind movie - God sitting on a toadstool smoking a hookah! Pixi, we all want explainations about why things did or didn't happen, but I'm afraid we'll just have to wait until we get to heaven! Bummer.
Your path is unclear right now, but trust in your instincts and in God (to me, those are one and the same), and your way will be made clear - even if it's to do nothing right then.
