That's a lovely arrangement of cranberries and anise. But is it going to be baked in a pie or is it just going to sit there and thaw? The cranberries look frozen but it could be flour. If I went to all that trouble I would want to show it off somehow. Great puzzle!
They do look like they're just sitting there thawing! At first glance I thought they must be arranged on top of some pastry, but nothin' there. Fleeting art...meanwhile, re: the quilt puzzle, I love brick! I forgot about it for a bit, but you've reminded me to enjoy it again : )
Cranberry! What a Grandberry!
I have an idea that sounds like it might be fun - or a lot of work for someone! A puzzle where the pieces are the shapes of many different cookie cutters! And they all just kind-of fit in together, facing lots of directions. What do you think?
This cranberry tree could be a flat centerpiece --- with maybe some small candles --- one on each side.
This may have come about when the cook needed a break --- and played with the cranberries!
