I have never thought of cucumber sandwiches. I think I would use mayo rather than butter though..Elaine NH, do you live in New Hampshire. I have a daughter in Contocook, N. H. Pretty but too far from Georgia where I live.

Love cucumber sandwich.....I like the small salad cucumbers peeled......sliced.....on hearty white bread and butter...salt and pepper.....yum

Mine is cucumbers and onions, with a white rice vinegar and lots of peper, sometimes at tomatoes later. Can eat these by the bowl full!

I bought myself a watermelon the other day. The box boy put it in the car for me. Then I managed to get it into my kitchen. The next major problem was getting it into my fridge. It is a good thing that I needed to clean out that fridge (luckily it is was trash nite) so that I could fit the melon in. Well, the thing is cold now and I can't decide whether to wrestle with it and cut some off to eat. Whew. NOTICE to old women who live alone: Buy only small fruit! (To be continued....)
