I never could understand why anyone would want to buy a place on water, where taxes are high, upkeep is expensive, and the place and nearby points of interest are always the same. This is very limiting unless the property is rented out much of the season. Then there is the flood insurance, and possible flood damage. Nope, I would pay the rent, for sure.
You've got that right, aussie - sand creeps into everything. Plus that house looks close enough tot he water that you'd have to worry about storm surges, erosion and probably wind. That said, it would make a good vacation cottage.
