We had our first frost last night. Roses and lavender are getting trimmed and now I just waiting for the leaves to finish falling.

Fall is not here yet, still hot at 88 degrees. :( Can't wait. No rain in sight, very dry today. Those apples looked so good, I had to have one. They are great at this time of the year. :)

We were in the NC mountains a few weeks ago and the leaves were in the process of changing. A strong breeze blew for a few moments and it "snowed" fall leaves. Beautiful.
"Fall" here (n.e. Fla) happens around Dec to Jan when the cooler weather makes a few of our leaves (dogwoods, sumac, persimmon and a few others) change.

Fall is truly here. Freeze warning tonight. News telling everyone to protect what they want to save a little longer. Not quite ready for freezing weather. Burrrrrrrr.
Now that looks good. A pot of tea and apples..all set for a fall afternoon. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I am set for a little trip. God bless, everyone.
Pretty picture. Lovely mix of colors and great imagination putting the apples on top of colorful quilt and bringing in the chocolate tea pot. Kudos to the photographer!
Apples are good for diabetics (this one, anyway). If I eat something that has a higher fat or caloric count that I should, eating an apple very shortly afterward pushes (via the fiber) the 'no-no' foods through the system faster so they don't have as much time to deposit their calories and/or fat. I try to eat at least one apple a day (for diabetics that's a pretty small apple).
