There are chickens that lay blue eggs, etc. My friend's daughter played farmer for several years then got bored with it. The chickens and one goat were the last to go. I think it may be easier to color the eggs.
The emu bird lays blue eggs. Just a little trivia for ya all.

Micki I have an emu egg, and the outside looked just like an avocado -- dark green and textured. I have a little tool and sanded it down, and it turned out to be a beautiful turquoise blue color! I collect eggs, and have everything from an ostrich egg on down to lovebird eggs, which are about as big as a little fingernail.oh gosh just noticed how long ago you posted this!

Very interesting. Never knew anyone who collected bird eggs. You never fail to amaze me and that's no yolk. I think I mean joke. Hah.

Hahaha, good one!! I shell always be grateful for your support, micki! Yes, it's kind of silly, but I've been collecting eggs of all different sizes, so I can line them up in order of size. I saw in a Martha Stuart magazine the you can buy almost any type of egg online already blown out. I was looking for empty chicken eggs for an Easter project, but then -- hang on, they have turkey eggs too! Goose! Quail! And I was hooked. I have 10 sizes now but always on the lookout for more, ha! Hope you're having a great weekend...
It's June now and a few months past Easter, but a colorful puzzle nevertheless. Been a gazillion years since I dyed eggs with my kids, who are now close to 60 yrs. old.
