I have enjoyed these 5 days of being shut in because of snow. Hopefully today it will melt off. God supplied all my needs. electric didn't go off, no frozen pipes, enough wood, my family safe. phone to keep in touch. Thank you Lord
Glad I don't have this. Love to visit and come home to better weather. Now wondering about Hurricane Harvey which is to hit the Texas coast tonight. Wonder if we have any puzzle friends in that area. If so, hope they have moved to a safe place. My cousins grandson is stationed there but they have moved them, hopefully to a safer place.
And we're in the single digits with even deeper cold expected over the weekend! Stay cool, aussie. {{{ }}}

:) - I am trying aknan, now they have extended this heat wave until next Thursday aaarrrgggghhhhh!!! I have a means of cooling down though and it involves a plastic chair, a bucket of water from the tank, me in a bathing suit, and dipping water over a very warm body. Waters the grass at the same time lol, so two purposes in one.

When I lived in the hot country of the Oklahoma Panhandle, we kept a spray bottle full of water. Served the same purpose as you bucket and chair, but had no effect of the grass. Just helped us stay cool. Did you ever get the neckerchief coolers? Oh, those hugs I gave you in the earlier post are shivering!

Hi Aknan, yes I did get them and all the instructions were in Chinese lol. I looked them up on ebay and the English instructions were there. Have to print them out and follow them. Hugs.

Basically, you just soak the thing in water until it swells up, put it in the fridge or freezer overnight (or at least 2 hours) and wear it around your neck. When it gets warm, back to the fridge!

Personally, I'd opt for the scarf, but if you fit in the fridge, go for it!

There is a poem called "The Great Australian Adjective" which I would send/post here so that no one gets offended by the word "bloody" lol. Hugs.

Below 30F is not comfortable for me at 63, but layering your clothing, a winter hat, jacket, and insulated boots helps. When it is above 85F, especially if the humidity is high, I am extremely uncomfortable when outside. The NY summers that I used to enjoy are often way too hot and humid for me. Retirement makes staying inside in times of discomfort easy.
That happens by us. The rod crews are marvelous at getting up the snow and putting down salt. Once the snow stops falling it only takes a few hours before the raods are all clear.
Jingles, We cannot hide anything from God. He knows everything before we even wake up in the morning. His grace is sufficient. We need not worry as long as we have faith and belief. God bless and have a wonderful day.
Gorgeous picture. The sky outside my window is looking much like the one in this picture. Praise God, after all the rain and flooding we've seen the last week blue sky is a real blessing.
Take care and God bless. Hugs.
No part of our lives is hidden from God's grace and power.
God bless you all on this cold, rainy winter morning.
And may God bless you all.
