That is a terrible fear to have that many older people seem to deal with. I am sorry you are one of them elijah.

I have a pendant necklace that I wear 24/7 in case I fall. If I would fall, they would be notified. Also the police have a hidden key to my house in case needed. Trying to take all the precautions I can.

All of us loners have to. I should get one of those pendants. I rely on contacting my sister in law each morning and eveninng. She will phone friends if I don't check in with her.
Right after a snowfall is a perfect time to go out and experience the undisturbed beauty it created. One night at almost midnight the snow stopped and my husband and I went out for a walk. We lived on a corner and just walked up the middle of the road ---- no traffic! --- and just reveled in the beauty and the peace and the experience.
I can relate to that. Jamp124. I live at nearly 8000 feet in the Rockies and it is so beautiful and still after a nice snowfall. I feel so close to God at times like that.

When we were in the NC mountains we were away from traffic and neighbors and the snowfall was so quiet and peaceful. My hubby and I loved to watch it.
And yes, nlbuchanan, it is like feeling close to God.

It's funny you speaking about feeling close to God in the quiet snow. I can remember on more than one occasion as a little girl just laying on my back in the snow, looking at the sky, listening to the stillness and feeling very close to God. Today I go to that place in my memories when I am feeling stressed.
Once when we were in the NC mountains my oldest daughter and her hubby came for a visit. We had a wonderful snowfall that night and the next day we all went for a walk up the mountain. A snowball fight ensued and, being a novice at making snowballs, I packed my first snowball. When I lobed it at my daughter with it she almost fell over!
Beautiful picture. I didn't appreciate the beauty when I was young and lived in Iowa. I had fun playing in it though. We moved to Kansas when I was 14. I miss the snow.
And yes, nlbuchanan, it is like feeling close to God.
