This tulip field is perfectly described by saying it has every color under the sun. The clear blue sky is a beautiful backdrop for this vivid, sunny, jigsaw puzzle.
I see this was last year's May puzzle. I really need to dig out my tulips this year and thin them. Getting bunches of leaves but not much in the bloom department.
Puts me in an Easter mood which this year will be tomorrow.
Lovely. I have a few that keep coming up but mostly they last a year or two and you have to keep putting in new ones. I love the peony flowered and parrots. They don't last many seasons. Chinatown -a pale pink viridiflora type- has lasted (a few anyway and keeping near full-sized) for 10 years! That was the best buy I ever got in tulips. I tried the crocus-sized naturalizers this year. They are supposed to multiply. And I didn't have to dig them in as deeply which is getting too hard for me now. They were gorgous pinks with dark centers but only lasted a few days.
Puts me in an Easter mood which this year will be tomorrow.
