Rosie is here cleaning my house. Love her. She comes every 2 weeks. Her husband Ramon is out cleaning my back walkway and my "added on" roof! They are great people and trustworthy!
It is so wonderful to find someone who fits the "niche" you want to fill. My daughter had a couple that came in and kept up the "public" rooms in her home while she and her husband worked full time. It just makes life a little easier.

I housecleaned my way through college. Mostly professors. They felt sorry for me, I think, often overpaid me. I guess they trusted me; I don't drive, so they would take me to the house and drop me off and then go do whatever for a couple of hours. One particular family, I don't think they realised just how dusty their home was until after I cleaned it. They had potus strung all over one room, and the husband kind of laughed at me for dusting each leaf--but after that his wife's allergies were a lot better!

Sorry, that's "pothos" not potus.

We all make spelling mistakes and then realize it and can't correct it. That's life!!

We have a pothos vine growing up one of our oak trees. The leaves on the vine are about 14 to 19 inches across. Really neat looking

In Mexico, I've seen them with stems over 2 feet across and leaves that you could almost use as roofing. Those suckers were huge!

Lol. Ours could get like that except for a few harsh winters. I gave up on having houseplants around so ages ago I took them and planted them outside. Other than the pothos we have a red-margined dracaena that has twice been frozen back to the ground but has now grown to about 6 ft tall with 4 trunks, and about half a dozen 'peace lilies' and spider plants here and there among the other plants.

In the garden, I can grow it. In the house, it's dead in 2 months. I have no houseplants, not even a poinsettia at Christmas.

I can't have them in the house because I have a cat that likes to multilate any within her reach.

I used to have a canary whose cage hung on the wall near my pothus. When realised he had eaten half a leaf I worried all day it would make him sick but he was never a whit the worse. I did move the plant though!
