Does anyone remember the song by Pete Seager: Boxes, little boxes, all tied up in ticky tak, boxes, little boxes, and they all look just the same. Love it.
Yes, I do, too. It was originally written because Pete Seeger despised the "Levitt town" housing after WWII, in which all the houses looked exactly the same. When you look at new construction now, the song still applies.

I do remember that now about the song. As a kid I just thought it was so silly and when he died recently they brought that up with what the song was really about. Thanks for reminding me.

I didn't remember the song, but I looked up the lyrics, here's the start of the song:
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes
Little boxes
Little boxes all the same
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same

This was the theme song of a show called "Weeds" and had a second verse about the inhabitants (in part) - doctors and lawyers and business executives and they're all made of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.
I hope all the mothers in our group had a wonderful Mother's Day. You can tell that I did not wrap any of these, bu their neatness. It was a beautiful day here in Ohio today.
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes
Little boxes
Little boxes all the same
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life. ~Abraham Lincoln
Call your mother. Tell her you love her. Remember, you're the only person who knows what her heart sounds like from the inside. ~Rachel Wolchin
Good night and God bless. Hugs.
Looks like someone got a few nice presents - at least based on the packaging.
