Oh build me a home where the buffalo roam. and the dear and antelope play all day. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word. Where the stars do shine and I'm with the love of mine. Or something like that
The way I remember it is "O give me a home where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the skies are not cloudy all day". One of us must be right.

This song means a lot to me. My father used to just break out in song during the day (singing only the first line). This is one of the ones he sang most often. This and "O soul o mio". I'm sure I got the spelling on the last one all messed up but you get the idea.

Kansas is my orginal home state.
Home on the Range is the State Song:
Verse 1 (there are 7 in all)
Oh, give me a home, where the buffalo roam,
Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.
Chours:
Home, home on the range,
Where the deer and the antelope play,
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.

Thanks CatLadyOKC, I guess my memory isn't so bad after all. My Dad only went as far as "Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam" then stopped. But I will always think of him when I hear that song. Good memories keep me going after losing him barely a month ago.
If I do the edges first it goes so much quicker, pleased to see that lovely field coming to life, refreshing with so much green, against a brown screen it is even better!!
bonjour a tous
I like to do the edges first too. It makes it so much easier for me too. This is a beautiful landscape. It looks so peaceful. Everyone have a wonderful 3 day weekend and God bless all you.

I like to do the edges first also. Seems like the pieces have to be put in the exact place they are to be. They don't seem to slide in when close like they used to when I first started. Guess it makes us follow through as if placing a piece in a puzzle on our card table. :-)
