Okay. Will bring both water and tea. I don't like plain water. I guess it's just you and me, elijah. Shoud I bring a snack?

Let's both bring snacks! What Green Park are we meeting in? Also, where do you live. I live in central Florida, north of Disney!

I'm in New York near Albany. Why don't we meet at the national mall in DC? We can go from there to the ntional botanical garden orstay around the mall--or do you know a prettier botanical garden?
I've never been to the Carolinas or Georgia. It would be nice to meet somewhere between NY & FL.

You could come and stay with me and my 3 cats and we could go to Disneyworld, Seaworld or Universal Studios.

That sounds like a real rather than a virtual invitation. Either way thank you but my husband is still quite well and so I must decline anything but a virtual get together. Why don't we pretend we are meeting at Universl while you tell me what we are seeing and doing? (I've only been to FL once to visit relatives for a few days. Didn't visit any theme parks.) Would enjoy the cats. I used to have two.

I haven't gone to any of the theme parks in ages. Not interested and not the energy to walk that much. Wish there was a way to get e-mail addresses.

I've never been to any. There's an amusement park at Lake George my son went to on a field trip I chaperoned. That was at least 25 years ago but it isn't a theme park. That's as close as I've come to one. With you on the energy and interest bit. Prefer botanical gardens.

Elijah13, the C4J staff can provide a way for us to "talk" together. Just mention you'd like to send an email to a specific person. C4J can initiate contact, if it's desired by both parties.

Thanks for the info. Will try that. My problem was how to get her e-mail address.

C4J will pass it to you if the recipient agrees. I've done this several times.
Wish there was a private spot like that in our yard.

We just ordered a garden bench to put in a nice shady place under our huge live oak. We'll have a nice view of our back and side yard from there.

I hope you have many happy hours sitting there, trynfindit. We have some nice old trees along the back fence but they are up against the neighbor's house who is loading that area with garbage like a landfill. I pay her to take care of our place when we are gone so I hate to create a problem but it has been getting so bad I'm afraid it will start attracting rats and the trash keeps spilling over the fence into our yard. Guess we need a wall instead of a fence.
We had two very lovely spring days. It was a pleasure to be gardening and many of the bigger jobs are now done. Five remain--weeding which is never-ending, draining and cleaning the ponds, setting up the rain barrels, setting up the the spitting fish, taking the cover off the air conditioner.
Hoping you have the energy to do all that needs doing.
Well they are back...had to super cells come thru, one went south of us & the went north of us. Weather radios went off all evening until about 3 AM...Long night!!!
Sirens went off in our city when one came by but it was on the other side of the town. None in Jan, Feb. Mar. this year for us, usually have several by this time.

WOW pixi, wish I had half of your energy. Can you bottle it and send it over. Hugs.

That's a work schedule for the next 2 weeks at least. Won't finish the barrels or the ponds in one day. Each job takes at least 2. I am less and less sure I'll be able to do it with each passing year. I used to have the drive for it, Now it's a slog.
Hugs to you, Aussie. My energy (such as it is) is only physical..yours is spiritual.
When I was growing up in Connecticut we had Adirondack chairs in the backyard. Over time they became the color of the stone bench (from weathering). It was always a nice place to have a talk with visitors or to read by oneself.

Many are not uncomfortable if a person likes firm support for their back. However, some people have been making a different version in recent years. These are lower to the ground and very hard to get out of for almost anyone. The part where a seated person ends up is very low and the angle approaching the end of the seat is very steep. Basically, the seated person has to slide forward against gravity to the edge of the chair. Then they can push themselves to a standing position by pushing up on the chair arms...with gusto.
I've never been to the Carolinas or Georgia. It would be nice to meet somewhere between NY & FL.
Hoping you have the energy to do all that needs doing.
