It's easy and delicious. Pull down the outer layers, but don't remove. Take out the silk. Dress it up again and put a rubber band around to hold it in place. Microwave about 3 min. --- or until it smells like corn. It will be very hot --- use pot holders. Remove outer covering (can't think of the word! ). Butter and salt. Enjoy.

A rubber band won't melt in the microwave? How about a piece of string? I am going to try to do corn that way. Thanks.

I used a pretty sturdy rubber band --- no harm done, but it may not last as long!

Our granddaughter & her boyfriend come by ever so often to use our weber charcoal grill and fix supper for all of us. Her boyfriend does the cooking and the corn he has fixed is the best I've ever had. The steaks are great too. He leaves the silk on his but he soaks them for a short time before he cooks them. Always so juicy & sweet!

Yes, just cold water...I like to eat it on the cobb, but he can strip the kernel's real slick...hubby has trouble eating it on the cobb...he has upper dentures. He will pull the husks back gets rid of the silk. The husk makes a great handle if you like to eat it off the cobb.

Going to put corn on my shopping list when I start cooking again. Bought some TV dinners for right now. Think I will do some Crock Pot recipes until I get in the mood to cook again. Still trying to get organized from Irma. Glad we are not going to get this next storm. However, feel sorry for the ones that are--2 in a row is not fun! I have some friends that have relatives in Puerto Rico.
only eat creamed corn
I don't eat corn on the cob only like cream corn
