I'm surprised this one took longer than usual. Oh, well.
Two songs kept popping into my mind while working this one. "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows, " sung by Lesley Gore and "Candy Man, " sung by Sammy Davis, Jr.
I remember both of those. I don't think anything was written for gumdrops...not even mentioned on the Big Rock-candy Mountain. There must be at least one. Think I'll google it.
Speaking of rainbows we could use some rain. It's been ages since we had any.
You have a sweet day also vmarie.

Yep. There's a song called the Gumdrop Song.
I didn't much like it. And there's a Sesame Street ditty to Frere Jaques "If all the raindrops were lemondrops and gumdrops."

You should have seen my husband's face years ago when he asked me what the song "Lollipop" meant. Here in Spain we have a famous one called Chupa Chups (literally "sucky-suck") and when I told him that, his face just fell.

"Sugar Sugar" by the Archies. A favourite one from the 60's.

Orinoco, I remember when I was in Spanish Club in High School; we sold Chupas to raise money. They were so popular. They are still popular in some places in the U.S.

Growing up in the 60s I had no idea that Pez candies were invented in Spain! Pez is a surname in the north. It means Fish.

When I was a young school girl; my younger sister, brother and I loved the pez candies. Our mother would put them in our stockings at Christmas.

My mom would never buy them for us, because she said they were selling you the plastic dispenser, not the candy. (She was tight-fisted.) I finally got one when I married and moved here, when I was 20. You don't see them so much anymore.

My mom was that way also. I did get Pez on occasion but as she said it was overpriced and you were paying for the dispenser. Happily they were never a big fav of mine. And years ago there seemed to be a much bigger variety of candy than there is now.

My mother would only buy them for us on special occasions like Christmas or for party favors on somebody's birthday. I remember watching on TV about people who collected the dispensers. My favorite dispenser is the Snoopy one!
Hi SallyAngel! It's easy to save a puzzle...Just click on "Save" on the left column, then exit like you normally do. Then when you want to go back to it, just open Crazy 4 Jigsaws. Near the top of the page, click on "Account." On the left side, click on "Saved Puzzles" and you'll see your saved puzzle. Click on the puzzle and it will come right up.
I don't know if being a paying customer changes anything or not...Enjoy!
