I went off looking for houses. Love the straight lines and color. I see you all did this a couple years ago. I get my answers sometimes from the words above the "Related Jigsaws". It answers some of your questions. Yes they are houses in France. It has a couple words I don't know what they are. "Alsace and Riquewihr". Will have to look them up. Loved doing this one. When they are like this it gives me the itch to do the 192 Classic. Not really hard just takes me a lot of time. I better get back to my saved puzzles. Will look for another Build later.

I would love to see this block of houses in person. Wonder what country these are in? So colorful and unique.

Can anyone tell me if that is done strictly for decoration or does it have some structural value?

Nlb, the half-timbers originally were for structural support, as they went over stonework, but now, it's more of a decorative thing.
