S/he looks like s/he's singing. I saw a news clip that showed an elephant using it's trunk to say words. Maybe it was on youtube.
"Oh the animals came on two by twos.
Vive la compagnie.
The elephants and the kangaroos.
Vive la compagnie.....
Say "Ah."
I wonder if any dinosaurs were more like elephants. There were some sciences articles that claimed they were warm-blooded which would mean they weren't reptilian at all.
Wishing you a day of music.
I mean the scientists say the dinosaurs were warm blooded. I know the elephants are. And I know there were wooly mammoths....the skeleton of one was discovered not far from where I live. I mean other dinosaurs. I could see triceratops morphing into a rhino for example but I don't know of anything with big ears and a trunk that might have becaome an elephant.

What fascinates me is that so many of the dinosaurs had feathers.

There's this place called Berkshire Bird Paradise near me and they had a bird you could really believe had been a dinosaur. That bird had such a calculating look and feathers that were halfway to quills. I wonder if that's what porcupine quills started as--feathers.

How intriguing - do you know what the bird was, Pixi?

Red-legged seriema. I had to search google for it as I had no idea but I remembered where I had the photo and it was caged with African guinea fowl which helped by putting it in Africa as a fairly large bird. YOu might be interested in seeing a youtube about the Berkshire Bird Paradise if you like things about animal rescue places. Title is All For the Birds.
I adore
elephants, this one looks very pl;eased about something and thank God it still has it trunks, and may they never be poached.
I pray that you will have a lovely weekend filled with all the blessings God has in store for you.
Hate to nitpick, Barbaranne, but just can't help myself. I think is was the tusks the elephants might have had poached, not the trunk. How could the elephant travel without a trunk? No way to pack extra jammies.

I've seen something recently about someone painting elephant tusks pink, which ruins some of their use for ivory. Hopefully, this puts an end to some of the elephant poaching - otherwise, they're predicted to be extinct in the wild by 2025.

I adore elephants too, Barbaranne - what sort of a monster would one have to be to kill such a magnificent being? :-(

I don't remember it. Maybe it was only sung "over there"? Nah, in the small world we live in now, everything is shared round the world.

Oh, I remember it, Barbaranne, and the girl who sang it - a child star (briefly). wasn't her name Mandy? In fact I still remember most of the words!!

Jiggler I remember the 1st verse but get the words muddled after that, it was always a favorite on the children's request programme on the radio when I was a lot younger.
