I enjoy squirrels. I know that they love to raid bird feeders. I remember seeing a show, probably on PBS, where someone tried to "squirrel proof" their bird feeder. I think the narrator gave up after putting up a dozen traps that the squirrel figured out to get to the bird feeder.
Years ago, I lived in the 3rd floor of an older house - I would put seeds out on the ledge of the roof. One time I ran out of seeds and I had what seemed to be a very irate blue jay and squirrel chattering at me.
They so love to inform us when its empty, don't they lol. I had the pleasure of watching a pair of Blue Jay parents teaching their "baby" to steal peanuts off the ground from the squirrels.

I used to live on the 3rd floor of a house and would put out seeds on one of the window sills. For a while, I was out of seeds because I hadn't had the time to get to the store to buy some. I had a squirrel and a blue jay (not at the same time) both chattering at me, looking angry like they were expecting to be fed on a daily basis. I ended up putting some sesame seeds out for them from the kitchen.
