We have canals and places like the photo above. The only thing is we have sting rays and sharks. I'd be concerned about gators as well. We had one that was 6 ft. behind our house in the lake. A trapper had to be called to come get it. I was very nervous!

This doesn't seem to 'fit' with the India I was thinking of...they are very tidy partitioned areas on the river - do they have coconuts as well?
