I like the Nara quote. When we hurry, we miss all the details that make life beautiful - like a freshly blooming flower at the side of the path, a child's quickly passing smile, a hug from a friend - just because we thought we were too busy to stop. May you discover unseen beauty in your lives today.

Here's one for you Aknan that you reminded me about.
HE ONLY SAW THE BEAUTY
When Jesus walked amid
The people of His land
He only saw the beauty
As the leper stretched out his hand.
When the woman was about to be stoned
For the sin of adultery
Jesus looked into the depths of her eyes
And He saw only the beauty.
When Peter denied he knew Him
Three times before the cock crowed
Jesus saw only the beauty
Of the seeds that Peter sowed.
And even in Judas, who would betray Him
Jesus saw some beauty there
Allowed him amongst the twelve
And all Jesus had, he did share.
And that day in the temple
With righteous anger he drove men out
Who sought to destroy the beauty
"Begone! " He said with a shout.
Heavenly Father, help me to see
Others through Jesus' eyes
To accept them as they are
To be compassionate towards their cries.
Help me not to judge by appearance
But to draw on God's store of love
Jesus sees only the beauty
As He watches tenderly from above.

Beautiful poem, Aussie! I can do intricate embroidery (or I could, when I was young before my hands got creaky! ), but I have never been able to write a poem. Poetry is an art in itself! And you, my dear, are an artist!

Thank you Joyce - never like poetry in my lift and a friend of mine living nearby had a daughter who was going to the USA as an exchange student. When I came I was thinking about our conversation and suddenly I got my first poem and been writing ever since. I am always amazed at the poems, it is a gift and I give God the glory. Hugs.

Aussie, I just read this poem. Thank you for being obedient to God and writing down what He gave you. I know it came from your heart.

Thank you rahrah, I appreciate your comments and never take my gift for granted. I was never interested in poetry and then God gave me my first one in 1978 and still they come. Praise Him. Hugs.
This puzzle reminds of my grandmother. She did beautiful needlework! I would like to, too! I would like to do some cross stitching; but I don't seem to have the time for it!
still trying to let stuff go
hard to do but pretty
