We've strung up a clothes line and dry our clothes on it rather than using the dryer. BOY does it save money on the electric bill.!
We do use the dryer if we need something right away or, of course, if it's raining.

Trynfindit. We think alight as I too have lines in the basement and a wood stove to dry them in the winter and as you said, it sure saves on the electric bill.

I agree. However, can't hang them on a line where I live, so have to use a dryer.
Until 1996 when my mother and I moved to this house, I always hung my clothes on a clothes line. In fact I had never had a dryer until then. However, I couldn't hang my clothes outside so had to buy a dryer. I do string a line sometimes in my atrium to hang rugs, etc to dry.
We do use the dryer if we need something right away or, of course, if it's raining.
