Since I started feeding my birds I have to refill my feeder every other day. The seed and suet are their favorites. I get finches, sparrows, woodpeckers, bluejays and bluebirds and too many to name. My indoor cat loves the show outside the patio doors. Ha Ha. I would like to have that big bird house. I think its more of a nesting house and not so much a feeder.
I think it's a swift house. I get swifts and swallows mixed up. To me they look alike.
My dad liked woodworking. He made several clock cabinets then bought the clockworks on the internet. My brother is hoping to do marquetry after his wife and he retire but they just discovered he has cancer so I'd appreciate prayers for his full recovery. He's only 59.
That's such sad news pixi. I hope and pray all goes well for your brother. This dreadful illness seems to affect so many. Let's hope it won't be too long before a cure can be found.

I too, will add him to my prayers. And you as well, for strength, courage and wisdom. May God hold him, you and his family in His comforting arms.

I will also add you and your brother to my prayers. At least the prospects of recovering from cancer are so much better than they were years ago! Did they catch it at an early stage? I certainly hope so. My father had cancer at 64, had surgery, and is still going strong 18 years later!

Hi Pixipixil - please add my prayers to all the others on here. It is a sad time for you and your family and friends and God will sustain you. I know how you feel as my brother got cancer too, but it was through this that he came to know the Lord.

Hang in there pixipixil, and remember - many, many people recover from cancer these days, and carry on with their lives. Keep smiling - especially for his sake! All the best to you.

All you "guys" are the best. Thank you so very much.
He opted for radiation but he is early-mid stage. The actual radiation starts in 10 days and runs six weeks. Will let you all know how thing shape up when he finishes the course. Side effects were the worry with procedure selection. Even radiation has them but not as likely or as drastic.

This is for sunsetsky, netta, jiggler, GrandmaN. Mountainmama, Aussiesapphire. toadalove, and terabyte: Thank you for your prayrers for my brother.
He has finally gotten the doctor's word on the results of his blood test and it is very good news. His levels have dropped and he won't need to see the doctor again for 6 months. This will continue for several years and if the levels stay down they know the cancer was eliminated. Again, thank you all for praying. It will be years before we know it's gone for good so if you think to pray for him occasionally that would be wonderful.

Thank you, jas. I am sorry you lost your wife. That must have been terrible. Cancer is such a debilitating experience for the whole family.
My brother has had two follow up check ups since finishing radiation therapy and both have been excellent. (TBTG) He is my only sibling and seven years younger. My husband and I are married 43 years. Both of us have, so far, been w/o serious medical conditions.

May the Lord bring your brother into full permanent remission and give his caregivers uncommon insight into how to proceed with his treatment.

Thank you, Robert. His wife's family is in health care so he will have teh best watching over him. I am especially worried as this year my son died due to his own foolishness. He was my only child. My brother is childless. So that only leaves the two of us and our spouses. How quickly the world gets small!
