I'm with you jas6415. Helps me to sleep and have discovered lately just rubbing it on my skin helps me to get back to sleep when I wake in the middle of the night. I have been to a lavender farm in Tasmania and it was amazing. Hugs.

I like lavender too and other kinds of scents as well!
I'm not fond of lavendar either. Don't know why it's so popular. And there are some perfumes I really hate, too.
I prefer spicy smells to florals anyway except lilies. LOVE lilies.

And I can't stand lilies, especially as they begin to fade. Isn't it great that we all like different things? The world would be so dull if we were all the same.

That's right, aknan. It also makes more opportunities for businesses which is good too.

True!! I prefer lilies, roses etc...oh and cinnamon...
Lovely picture. Such a shame that in many parts of S. Europe a parasite is devastating the lavendar plants. They've had to start growing a subspecies that has a coarser smell--more like cheap bathroom freshener than its classier cousin.
Maybe it will eat the cheap smelling plants and let the good ones come back.

Don't we wish! No, it attacks the good one which is why they had to go to the coarse one, which is more resistant. It gave them a good lesson on respecting the wild hillsides...as always, too late.
