The blue sky was a little tricky
To jajac, I am an afternoon person with my coffee. Thanks toadalove for the welcome. Do lighthouses have round rooms on the inside. Does any one know. I have never been inside one myself. Passed by a windmill one time though. Have a nice rest of the day, everyone

Yes the rooms are round and not always very big, I visited one in Norfolk and it was quite an experience, climbing all the spiral stairs was a bit daunting but the view was lovely. A friends father was a trawler captain and he took us out to Spurn Point to see the lighthouse it stands? Stood on a very large rock we were not allowed to leave the boat....sham

To barbaranne, I think that you are very lucky to have had a view inside a lighthouse. The only spiral stairs I climbed were in the Statue of Liberty and now I am not in shape to ever do that again. But the view oh yes indeed was lovely.

I will never climb a spiral staircase again either so I treasure those memories Rozina

Yes I treasure memories too, and when I am not near water I listen to the sounds of a brook or ocean on my cd player...yeah, I am still old fashioned...

I come here first thing too. have to do my daily and at least one more.
I guess if you lived in one of the buildings below and climbed up to the top every day for work, you would be in pretty good shape! Guess that is one job I'll never have!
I visited our lighthouse here at Montauk Point which is the very eastern end of Long Island. It is a very old one and is being watched for beach erosion. The staircase can be grueling. Cant stop either or people behind you get annoyed!! Lol As everyone always says though: the view was worth it!
Yeah that was a bit tricky but I noticed a pattern in all the jigsaws, all the pieces are in the same place when you pick a certain cut on each jigsaw you do notice these things. Follow this and you will not get mixed up

Thanks Heather. I hadn't noticed that. I don't always use the same cut but I do have a favourite.
