Ugh! Hubby took our puppy out early - I was still asleep and he woke me up. He said there was something wrong with the dog. I looked and it looked fine. We brought it to the ER vet and was told that it had been stung by something. In a matter of minutes the gums have gone from pink to white. I was in tears and am still upset. This is our 2nd dog that has been brought to the ER vet. I asked the vet what could have stung her and she couldn't tell me.
They do make an essential oil that you can put on dogs that will hopefully help with that problem. Just make sure you don't have any pretty scent on it.

Could've been a bee, wasp, a spider, caterpillar, or ants.

She didn't cry or whine and I thought it was a wasp. I kept telling hubby that some bees have nests in the ground. Spider or ant yeah - certain types. I was quite embarrassed at his behavior over there. She's almost 6 months and about 20 pounds. Then the vet says oh looks like she's getting fat. I didn't see it and then he acts like I've never owned an animal before. He acts like I've never taken care of one. We have to have a follow up and I'll mention her weight. They did say oh she whined while in the kennel - she wanted to go outside. Yep she went and told em she learned early.

Was going to take the puppy to another vet last week. Then hubby starts having a fit - I wanted a 2nd opinion.

Oh she's fine now. I get frustrated with hubby many days. He tells me the wrong info and says to me oh why don't you do anything around the house. I pay the bills, do the laundry.
Brighter colors than any bluebird I've seen. The only bird I ever saw with a blue that intense--and it was more towards turquoise-- was the indigo bunting. He was gorgeous. I don't see an American bluebird in my bird book that is completely orange underneath.
Have a blue sky Sunday and remember this one? --May the bluebird of happiness fly up your nose. (Now that would not make me happy at all if a bird could even fit in my nose but the wish is for abiding joy I think.)
I hope not globug!!! It is kind of funny though. I do not think I would like an elephant any where near my toes. LOL

Hi mamag15. They are lyrics to an old song. The name of the song is "May the bluebird of happiness fly up your nose"

And as another song goes "Do you remember? If you remember then baby you're much older than I."

Pixi-I was just looking thru my Audubon books & a Bird a day Calendars--I found I great match. Try painted bunting. They may be a perfect match, but I have never seen one on any of my feeders--chirp, chirp.

Hi Bay Grannie. Your guide must be showing only a full frontal version of the bunting. A side view shows it has other colors on the back besides blue and orange. Also it has a thicker beak than the bird in the puzzle and doesn't have pink legs/feet. Nice try tho. I think this is not a north American bird which is why our guides have no match.

Well, that would be interesting. I supported my first husband through Brown University. he got a combined PhD in physics & chemistry. I got left behind! But then I picked myself up & went to URI School of Pharmacy, which is very difficult to get into. Interestingly enough, he was back at my doorstep within 3 months wanting me to move to N.New Jersey where he worked at Bell Labs. I told him this was now MY time now...Hear me roar!!!!!
