Macarons Premium Jigsaw Puzzle

Darambo, these aren't macaroons - they're macarons. The shell is thin meringue and the fillings can be virtually anything. They literally melt in your mouth!

They really are excellent. So light and even aren't that sweet. I love them!

I have never had these, but learning that they aren't too sweet really makes me want to try some.

Akan thanks for the cooking lesson. I know macaroons are coconut what flavor are macarons? I have never tried them. They look like they they would be crunchy and sweet, good combination. Guess I will have to try some when I see them again. Again Akan and Taffi thanks again for the info. Be safe.

Macarons are egg meringue where the whites have been beaten and then shaped into that round disk. You can shape them as the meringue becomes stiffer with the beating. Yes, it's crunchy...and so good. The meringue can be sweet, depending upon the baker...but the meringues I've had (called Snowflakes) aren't that sweet due to the baker who makes them. Only at Christmas. She adds chocolate chips to one batch and then will add walnuts to another batch. Then there's the plain batch. We love them...so that they disappear before Christmas Day lol That meringue is put into a pastry bag and squeezed out into a star shape onto a Silpat baking sheet cover. Then it goes into the oven on a low temperature to set. They're taken out of the oven and cooled. Those of us who are partaking in the Christmas Cookie Day (the mother, 4 daughters and myself) are allowed one to sample :) But then, there's all the other cookies!

Taffi I think I'm coming to your house to bake Christmas cookies!! Thanks so much for all the info. Can't believe I don't know about these even after seeing them many times. Now I can't wait to try them! So they are all meringue correct? Sounds so very good, it has my mouth watering. Think I will look for a recipe, I am excited to try something new, how fun!!! Macaroons are great, yes, especially coconut ones but these are macarons. Meringue that's been lightly whipped and formed into a shell with a light filling. Not that sweet either. Yummy stuff!

Macarons and Macaroons are two entirely different sweets. Google them.

Guess I just quickly looked at the word. Not into too many sweets now.
