How beautiful and peaceful, reminds me of a poem I wrote for a friend of mine years ago, based on a short story I read. She has prayed for her husband's salvation for years, and sadly now she has dementia. Here is the poem -
THE FERN
There were many ferns in the woods that day
But one really caught my eye
'Twas clinging to a bare, craggy rock
'Neath a dark and foreboding sky.
This tender little fern
Brought to mind a dear, sweet friend
Whose husband was as that rock
Frowning, stubborn - his will wouldn't bend.
We all sat back in smug self assurance
That her husband would never be won
His lack of interest in spiritual things
Made it impossible for him to know the Son.
But she went on quietly loving
As God always did with her
God knew her heart's desire
She just continued to care.
As I pondered on that tender fern
Which could be bruised by merely a touch
I hoped that my friends husband's attitude
Would not affect her too much.
But I knew deep within my heart
She and the fern were as one
Both getting strength from an unseen source
Hers from God's precious Son.

Just had a sad letter from one of my friends on here and was feeling quite "down" and reading your messages on here has lifted me up. Thank you all so much for your love and encouragement. What an amazing site this is that we can share and uphold each other in this way. I pray that God will shower many blessings on Kevin and others who created this site and made it all possible to share. Hugs to everyone.

Hi PW, it would be my privilege and I would appreciate it if you would just leave the copyright on it. Thank you so much. My gift is not used in my church which is disappointing, but so nice to know it will be in yours. Hugs.

Of course I will use it exactly as printed with the copyright at the bottom.
Good morning all, hope you are all well. This puzzle is a very lonely looking place, I suppose it is because of the mist. Thanks C4J crew for such wonderful puzzles to do.

As I turned for one last look
It occurred to me with a shock
There was something I just had noticed
THE LITTLE FERN HAD CRACKED THAT ROCK!
