I remember seeing this in Paris - there was such a huge crowd around it - largely Asian tourists taking photos. I don't think I got within 4 or 5 feet of the glass enclosure - this photo seems more bluer/greener than I remember it - more brownish from what I recall.
Not one of my favorites, even though I have done a couple of oils in the old masters style (lots of work) more a fan of Wilson Hurley and Georgia Okeeffe (also like southwesten works). My watercolors are more in the Okeefe style large flowers. I'm not doing well today...got up at 5:30 and hate sitting in Dr's office for 3 or more hours, plus the amost hour drive each way. Will go to bed early tonight.

Hi Hockeyfan, I too enjoyed doing this puzzle. Love the classic art collections. It was easy, must be all the green. Have a good night. :)

Hi CatLadyOKC, Sitting in Dr. Office for that long would surely make you tired, plus the driving. Hope you are rested up today. :)

Hi to both of you! Posted this earlier, but should has posted in on this one so here...(still rattled) Today is going better I guess, this is just a busy week, still running behind but did get a good nites sleep. I did happen to see 2 robbins in our front yard yesterday so Spring really did come, cool & rainy here today. Have appt. in Norman tomorrow morning to get taxes done and that always takes several hours...go to the Sr. Center there and parking is always short so I'll get to drive again.
It"s with a heavy heart I do these puzzles this morning. I live in Texas City, Texas. This is the sight of the most recent oil spill. Which is devastating to say thee least. We are a refinery and chemical plant city. My family are of french descent from arcadia, Canada, Migrated down to Louisianna to escape englands domination. We are called Cajuns, which is a language slang mishap from early pioneer days. The dike is 7 miles out into the bay and has aforded this area a great fishing, shrimping and family outing induustries. Befroe Ike it was full of bait camps and places having bands and fishing tournaments. Ike wiped all these out and really wreaked havoc on our economy. Now this oil spill will really take tol on us as we arent yet recovered ecomically from Ike. I will be out today to see what I can do to help. Perhaps bring several jugs of coffee and some large bottles of Dawn for the poor creatures. please keep this tragedy in your minds and prayers. God bless you all
All our prayers are with you and god is looking down and taking care of all of you in different way's, prayers go a long way. god bless.

Prayers for a recovery. I'm from Texas too but in central TX. I have concerns for this old earth that God gave us to live on. Reminds me of the saying "you never know what you have until it's gone."

Denisemmmm, whatever you do to help those working on the oil spill will be God's work. Our beautiful Gulf has been so ravaged these past years. I'm sure many will join in prayer for its saving.

I had not heard of this oil spill. Your community's down there have certainly had your share of problems. I will be praying that those who are responsible will be caring individuals who will truly work to clean in all up. Thank God for people like you who will do all you can to help. Please keep us informed.

I heard about this because we keep up with Carnival Cruise Lines and they had ships which needed cleaning before being allowed to sail again. Very sad situation. Bless you for going out to help!

These disasters are so hard on the environment and besides the damage to wildlife and ecology, the ripples effect the economy for a very long time. There must be a better way to make energy than with fossil fuels. I believe God wants us to live with lots of light, in purity and cleanliness, and therefore He has other energy, power and light-sources we must find. Our prayers are with you and all of Texas City.
