Hi Jes1202, There's no coffee where you live?
That must be difficult. I couldn't start my day without coffee.

There's coffee, but New Orleans coffee is kind of like Starbucks here-it put hair on your chest! (The French quarter coffee has chicory mixed in and it made my eyes bug out! That's why they dump all that seetened condensed milk in there I found out...as I take my coffee black. ) Coffee is good here but it just isn'tthe same somehow, New Orleanians take their coffee seriously, Coloradan's take it for granted.

Hi jes1202, I do remember when I lived in Colorado that coffee was just not taken seriously! My cousin only had instant coffee at her house! Yuck, that's insulting to a real coffee drinker. I bought a perk., And brought it to her house just so I could have a really good cup of coffee. :)) Well, there was no more instant at her house. :)) Chicory! Yuck...I'll have none of that, terrible taste.

I was born in Colorado and raised on excellent coffee. Hard to find anything decent since I left there.

Hi Starrphyre, I guess it's where we are born, we get used to one thing that we love. Move, and it's never the same. We long for "back home", it's always better. I was born in Belgium, excellent coffee there. The aroma of the freshly brewed "Chat Noire" (means Black Cat) coffee could wake a person up from a sound sleep. Nothing like an excellent cup of coffee. :)
I use to be a big coffee drinker but not suppose to drink it now because of the caffeine. Not even suppose to drink decaffinated because the acids etc. Give me stomach problems. But I'm here to tell you, when nobody is looking, I slip out to McDonald's and have a caramel frappe which has coffee in it and heaven knows what else but I am addicted to them. I have one about once a week and they're full of calories. I can't help it..The devil makes me do it. Gotta have a little fun in this life dontcha????
I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
